Prologue
~In which we find out where it all began~
It started, as these things often do, fairly innocently. For many thousands of years, Dragons roamed the face of this Earth, living side by side with man.
But suddenly, everything changed.
And where Dragons once were, now there was nothing. As St. George famously slew the mighty Brinslop, supposedly the last of his kind in Europe, the Dragons stopped coming.
However, they remained in our collective consciousness - villified as terrible, vicious creatures who liked nothing better than to feast on young maidens and to hoarde and sleep on huge piles of treasure.
But the World was fooled.
You see, Dragons are hugely intelligent creatures. They hid themselves away, aware they were being hunted to the very point of extinction. They opened up the World, stepped inside, and sealed themselves in. They began to hibernate, always looking for a way back.
And now...
The Dragons are waking up...
